Christmas Season

Bob and I were talking the other night about how quickly Christmas came upon us this year. Between holiday parties, Ryley's programs, shopping, and just getting ready in general, we hardly had time to stop and enjoy the spirit of the season. We spent Christmas in Circle and had a great time. Christmas Eve is the one holiday all of the Crocketts (my mom's side of the family) gather. Mom hosted 32 people on Christmas Eve. We spent Christmas Day with the Beerys. The kids got spoiled rotten and loved every minute of it, of course.

Merry Christmas

The few weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are whizzing by. With Christmas parties, programs, shopping, and baking we are a bit crazed this holiday season. Brytta is so much fun this Christmas. The first time she saw Christmas lights was unforgettable. Bright-eyed, mouth open wide, and pointing out the car window as she shouted, "Mama, it's Cwismas!" in her adorable little two-year-old voice. It's so much fun experiencing simple little things like pretty lights through a child's eyes again.

The Beery Family Blog

This summer, I was having lunch with high school classmates, Jenny and Paula, at the Wooden Nickel in Circle. (I automatically typed in their maiden names before deleting last names altogether.) I mentioned to Jenny that I was checking her blog occasionally to watch her baby belly grow in Colorado. Jenny suggested that I should have a blog, too. "It's so easy," she said. So over a month later, with no husband or kids around, that is exactly what I have set out to do. And so far...it has been easy:)
